Rarotonga

Theresa raising our courtesy flag and driving us toward a strikingly beautiful Rarotonga.

We pulled into the Avatiu harbor at 1500, after 30 hours of great sailing (preceded by 48 hours of motoring), ending in a fast beam reach in 15-20 knots for the last 8 hours.

The commercial basin was tricky to figure out, but we are now securely tied to a concrete wharf, stern-to with a bow anchor out. Our neighbors are large fishing boats and small container ships, plus two other cruisers (1 French, 1 NZ).

Dan is still in a lot of pain, but slowly improving (and will look for a Dr tomorrow to get
an X-ray). Will seek out internet access tomorrow to post some pics. Now: food & sleep!
